Ode to the little blue can: I want to thank Diet Pepsi for the countless hours (cans) they put in every day. DP is my best friend and has been my greatest supporter throughout the years. Their support and dedication means the world to me, and I would be nothing (literally) w/out it. Let me publicly admit that I haven't always been faithful and occasionally experiment w/ other partners, but my heart lies w/ the little blue can. I could not get out of bed w/out you every day. My work day does not start (scream as they may) w/out first partaking of your sweet goodness. As my day drags on you are always by my side, giving me the motivation that I need. When my work day ends, you continue working! Whenever I need a little pick-me-up, I can count on you! Thank you again for everything!"

not Obama in 08

I drive a motorcycle and yes, I cut traffic. I know it's a horribly dangerous thing to do, but when traffic is at a standstill and you have the ability to keep moving, it's extremely difficult not to. Anyone who splits traffic will tell you that there are some motorcycle friendly people out there (people who pay attention, see you coming, and edge-over to give you more room to pass) and there are some not-so-friendly drivers out there as well. Yesterday I had to travel to Temecula and Murrieta for work (firewall replacement and DSL issues) and due to the cost of gas ($4.37 across the street) I decided to dust off the G-SXR. On my way back I was splitting traffic just West of Coronoa (accident in the OTHER direction caused our side to crawl!) and came upon a Toyota Highlander Hybrid w/ an "Obama 08" sticker on their bumper. They were practically riding the lane that separates the carpool lane from the fast lane, which made it impossible for me to pass. Typically when this happens I will ride their back-end long enough for them to see me (usually a matter of seconds), but in this case it took MUCH longer. I was behind this car for nearly 5 minutes until I was able to pass (no thanks to Mr. Pro-Obama). It made me think about the upcoming election and the type of people who I think will be voting for either McCain or Obama. If you drive a hybrid SUV to your non-profit company job all while drinking Starbucks, riding the center lane, and talking on your iPhone then you will probably be voting for Obama. Which pretty much explains why I will not.
